What is the Zero Army?

The Zero Army is a tokenized community — a decentralized army of global citizens united by a common mission: To pioneer the adoption of a new digital asset class — mission coins.

What are Mission Coins?

Mission coins are the end-product of a process called "mining social value" — a concept inspired by the fair mining process of itcoin.

Mining Social Value

This involves tokenizing investments in social value using tokenized donation systems so they can be treated like investments & not just zero-return donations.

Mission Coin Missions

A mission coin's mission depends on the types of social value objectives it's designed to target and the indicators connected to that target.

For example, zero childhood hunger is a social value goal with a high benefit-cost ratio (45:1) and can be measured by numerous indicators including SDG 2.2.1 and 2.2.2 of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

Other types of measurable social value objectives include reducing poverty, treating preventable diseases, reducing pollution, and even combating climate change — each with their own set of quantifiable indicators and benefit-cost ratios.

Return On Donation = ROD

Traditional donations offer zero financial return — you give money and it's gone. Return On Donation (ROD) changes this paradigm by treating charitable contributions as investments that can generate measurable returns.

ROD is derived from multiple factors, including:

  • 1.Benefit-Cost Ratio (BCR) — The same methodology economists use to estimate social value. BCR compares the total expected benefits of a project against its costs. For example, a BCR of 3:1 means every $1 invested generates $3 in social value.

BCR is measured using indicators — quantifiable metrics that track specific social outcomes. Indicators play a critical role in measuring what social value has actually been created, providing the measurable data points needed to calculate returns and hold projects accountable.
  • 2.Utility Value — The functional value of mission coins within the Zero Army ecosystem, including staking rewards and currency value within our metaverse (codenamed: MetaSERVE).
  • 3.The "z" Factor — The subjective free-market value assigned to each token by the Zero Army community above and beyond measurable indicators, based on how much they collectively value that particular social outcome. This is where true price discovery happens.

By combining these factors (and others), ROD transforms donations into quantifiable, tradeable assets — creating a new paradigm where charitable giving meets investment returns.

Donators VS Donors

A traditional donor is someone who gives without expecting anything in return. While the world will always need donors, a donator is someone who might expect something in return — the creation of social value.

Donators, in the context of the Zero Army, are more engaged than traditional donors because they have a financial interest in moving the needle on social value indicators. Why? Because it can influence the value of the tokens they acquired (or "mined") through tokenized donation systems.

This alignment of incentives creates a powerful feedback loop where donators are motivated to ensure their contributions actually make a measurable difference in the world.

Our Goal

Our goal is to turn social value into a commodity — powered by decentralized self-correcting free-markets as opposed to existing centralized solutions with a long history of "central-planning" failures.

Our Aim

The Zero Army aims to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of existing social value creation mechanisms — including non-profits and government programs — by revolutionizing capital allocation.

Through transparent, blockchain-powered tokenized donation systems, global citizens can vote directly with their money instead of relying on centralized intermediaries to decide where resources flow.

This creates a more needs-based approach where global goals with the highest social returns are funded first — determined not by bureaucrats, but by the collective wisdom of millions of individual contributors worldwide.

Our Strategy

Our strategy is to bring groups of leading world experts together to experiment with different types of tokenized donation systems, Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO) architectures, and collaborate with Civil Society and Government Thinktanks.

Through this collaborative approach, we aim to test and refine the most effective and measurable social value generation engines — combining cutting-edge blockchain technology with proven economic methodologies and expert domain knowledge.

Transparency

The Zero Army is deeply committed to transparency at every level. As an open-source project, all our code, methodologies, and operational processes are publicly accessible and auditable.

We believe this is the killer use case for blockchain — leveraging trustless, open ledger technology to create unprecedented accountability in social value creation. Every donation, every token, and every indicator is recorded on an immutable public ledger, ensuring complete transparency and enabling anyone to verify the impact of their contributions.

Please Note

The Zero Army's tokenized donation systems are experimental. Returns on donation (ROD) are not guaranteed and should not be expected. Nothing on this site constitutes financial advice.

Donators should not contribute more than they would be willing to donate outright. Donate with zero expectations of financial gain.
